Technology and Printing

From free WiFi at all of our branches to printing, scanning, and photocopying services (for a small fee), we help our communities stay connected with the latest technology. You can even print 3D objects from some of our locations!

WiFi

Free WiFi is available at all Colchester-East Hants Public Library locations. No Library card is required! WiFi can be accessed inside or outside our locations. In addition to browsing the internet, you can use our network to access and download audiobooks, ebooks, magazines, and more items from our digital collection.

How to Connect

Access the network/wireless connection settings for your laptop, phone, or tablet. Select network “CEHPL Public Wireless.” No password is required.

Need help? Ask a staff member.

Like most public wireless networks, ours is not secure. Be aware of the risks when using an unsecured network.

Public Computers

As a library member, you can use public computers for free when you visit any of our locations. You’ll need your library card to book a computer and sign on.

To make sure everyone gets access, some locations have a daily time limit or there may be limited access during planned events.

Want to 3D print something? Here’s how it works:

  1. Contact your local branch with your print job request, colour preferences, and any other details about the request that are applicable. If your branch doesn’t have a 3D printer, contact info@cehpubliclibrary.ca with your request.
  2. Jobs are currently limited to 4 hours; the dimensions are limited to 60mm x 160mm x 180mm. Print jobs cost $1/hour per item.
  3. Once your job is printed, you will be notified by email that your job is ready for pick-up at your preferred branch.
