We are joining the Government of Nova Scotia and many organizations across the province to make our spaces inclusive and barrier-free. We are looking for individuals of varying abilities to form our Library Accessibility Committee. This committee helps shape our accessibility policies and practices. Together, we can make the library a place for everyone.
Do you identify as:
• Living with a disability
• Being neurodivergent
• Being d/Deaf
• Living with a mental health condition
Or do you work with people with disabilities?
Members will attend 4 online meetings per year for 2 years. This is a paid volunteer position.
If you have lived experience, professional experience, or advocacy experience that you feel would benefit the committee, please apply.
You can submit your application online or in person. The application form consists of questions about your interest in the committee and personal experiences that may inform your participation.
