The Province of Nova Scotia has designated public libraries as an essential service. Proof of vaccination will NOT be required to enter our spaces when the Province moves to Phase 5. Other health measures and protocols will still apply.

When does Proof of Full Vaccination start?
The province requires proof of full vaccination to enter designated “non-essential” locates on October 4, 2021. For the purpose of certification, fully vaccinated means 14 days after the second dose.
Who needs one?
Everyone 12 and older will need a vaccine card for designated “non-essential” locales. Those under 12 can enter with a fully vaccinated adult. There will be medical exemptions, which the Province will explain in coming weeks.
How do I get my vaccine card?
You will need to get a record of your vaccination, which can be accessed by sending an email or text through a government portal (you’ll need your health card number), or by calling 1-833-797-7772.
